AGTA was established in 1997 to represent the geotechnical and construction materials testing industries. It grew out of the Construction Materials Focus Group that formed in the mid 1990s to focus on the training needs of the industries.
It is dedicated to fostering and promoting the geotechnical industry in Queensland. We have as members representatives from the smallest earthworks laboratories to multinational engineering consultancies and construction materials suppliers.
Membership is open to anyone interested in the geotechnical and construction materials testing industries, whether as practitioners, users of testing services or suppliers to the industry.
We offer free 12-month membership to industry entrants and inexpensive individual and corporate memberships.
